Dance Projects For First Nations People

Dance2Change The World® is proud to support groundbreaking workshops, guided participants through a series of improvisational and storytelling exercises that generate the gestures that become an original piece of choreography.

At the end of the workshops, the participants perform a piece of movement art that is completely their own creation, based on intergenerational themes that were important for them to explore.

Dancing With Parkinson’s

Dance2Change The World® is proud to support Dancing with Parkinson’s, (DWP) which is a Canadian charitable organization that creates and delivers dance classes as a group-based treatment for people living with Parkinson’s disease (PD) in Ontario. According to students, instructors and the latest research we know that dance provides many benefits to individuals living with PD, including elevated mood, reduced stress, increased social connections, and improved physical and emotional well being. DWP’s innovative dance classes and benefits to people with PD have been featured by many major media outlets, including CBC, CBS, Global, and City TV.

D2CTW DANCE STUDIO SCHOLARSHIPS

Funding for dance students from low-income families with the greatest potential for a career in dance or dance/film while exemplifying leadership qualities that will elevate dance as an art form and an agent for positive change.

D2CTW COMMUNITY WORKSHOPS/SUMMER CAMPS

Social healing dance projects; resources for the various age groups that will make a positive difference in their well being and social interactions.

D2CTW DANCE MEDIA AND RESOURCES

Apps and AR/VR/MR content created to educate and elevate the positive benefits of dance or dance movement therapy; improving overall well-being that includes healthy alternatives to better cope with loneliness, anxiety, drugs, and/or health risks.
